A Little About Our Sawmill...

Having the right equipment here at Whitwell Sawmill is important to ensure the smooth production of high quality timber planks with minimal wastage. Our portable sawmill is from Woodland Mills and is easy to store and transport to our milling site.

The sawmill has a width capacity of 750 mm and can produce planks up to 3 metres in length. A great option for milling our live edge slabs. We are currently looking into the option of a track extension which would mean we could produce planks up to 6 metres in length, but that is longer than our kiln capacity so we run into a problem there...at the moment! Of course we do also offer wider boards but at present these are chainsaw milled.

Most recently coming off the mill we have these lovely Ash planks. They are now in the queue to go in the kiln before they will be ready to purchase.
