Here at Whitwell Sawmill we can be as involved as you like with the project you have planned for your purchased timber. You can simply come and buy your chosen planks and take them away as they are, or we can provide finishing services to get your timber to a certain stage. Our large machinery can be a time saving option for getting your raw planks transformed and ready for use. Options available include cutting, flattening, sanding and finishing the boards. Whatever you decide, once the timber leaves us we love to hear from you a few weeks down the line so we can see the end result. There is a huge variety of possibilities so no two projects are ever the same, plus no two pieces of our timber ever looks the same, creating unique builds.
Below are just a few of the projects completed with timber from Whitwell Sawmill, maybe they will spark some inspiration for your next project?
This Butchers Block was made for a kitchen out of 620 squares of Whitwell Sawmill oak. A time consuming labour of love which looks well worth the effort!
A Garden table made from oak with powder coated steel legs. The timber has been treated with an Osmo exterior oil.
A beech breakfast bar perfectly sized for this kitchen.
Beautiful English Oak used to make a kitchen island worktop.
A piece of our lovely spalted beech used to make some coat hooks for a porch.
Planks of English Oak made into shelving and now ready to be fitted in the house.
